Aaron & Diana – The Market at Grelen Wedding – Orange, va

Aaron and Diana met at the University of Mary Washington, through mutual friends. They stayed friends for a while before Diana finally agreed to go out with Aaron, and we are all so glad she did, because they have such a beautiful love and their wedding was amazing! Aaron also proposed at Mary Washington, he had all their friends in on it! They held up signs that said “will you marry me?” which of course she said YES! and Diana was so emotional that she called her family crying, and they thought she was in an car accident!! The rest is history!! Aaron and Diana booked me a year in advance because she was attending college in AZ, where her and Aaron now live! They were go for a simple, laid back, garden wedding and they definitely got what they were looking for with the Market at Grelen! This venue is so gorgeous!! For dessert, they had many different flavors of pie!! YES pie! They were so yummy!! Aaron is a huge pie lover! :p

The day started out at Spotswood Lodge, a beautifully decorated home in Culpeper, virginia! The details of this home are gorgeous, I wan

ted to move in! They had a very sweet and intimate first look with their loved ones watching, Aarons face lit up when he saw his gorgeous bride! Her simple, delicate, ruffled dress was perfect for her!

We headed back inside for a traditional Ketubah Ceremony. This was my first time ever witnessing a Ketubah Ceremony and it was so special and emotional! a Ketubah Ceremony is a special type of Jewish prenuptial agreement. It is considered an integral part of a traditional Jewish marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom, in relation to the bride. Diana’s father read the agreement and signed, at the end they all toasted with wine that Diana and Aaron got from their travels to Napa Valley!

We headed over to The Market at Grelen for the ceremony and reception. This little market is beautiful! Its right in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and had gorgeous views! I loved shooting there! Aaron and Diana had such a sweet intimate ceremony where loved ones spoke, and the wrote their own vows which were very touching and almost had me tearing up! The ended by the traditional jewish practice of breaking the glass under the Chupah, which is the wedding canopy that had bits and pieces of their lives uniting as one! Thank you Aaron and Diana for choosing me to forever be a part of your day!! I wish you many years of happiness!! <3

SO LOVELY! I can’t believe I am just now seeing this! Thank you so much for capturing such lovely photos. Couple quick corrections – Spotswood Lodge (own and operated by The Market at Grelen) is located in GORDONSVILLE, and The Market at Grelen is located in SOMERSET Virginia (less than two miles from Spotswood). We would love to get copies of these photos to share on our website and social media! What a lovely day and couple, and what amazing photos to top it all off!

        Cheers to 2016!ReplyCancel
