Dreaming of the Eastern Shore – personal

Last year, my wonderful and loving hubby took me to the eastern shore for a “baby moon” and birthday gift. I had no idea where we were going or what we are gonna do, I was pretty pregnant with Abigail and i have never left Owen before, so I was nervous! Im so thankful my wonderful mommy came all the way to VA from NC to be with my boy while we took a mini vacation. I promised to leave the camera at home and honestly it was torture! Because Cape Charles is BEAUTIFUL! We had so much fun, we rented a golf cart to ride around the town for a few days, and i remember we just drove past all the houses for sale and even land for sale and talked plans of moving out there and living a much simpler life. We stayed at our first bed and breakfast, it was an adorable house called The Cape Charles House, they were so welcoming and felt like family! It wasn’t as awkward as i thought it would be :p They served wine [i had sparkling cider lol] and cheese every night, told us the best places in town to eat and where the best views were! We ended up going on a dolphin sighting sunset cruise, dinner at an amazing restaurant called Aqua which is now the Oyster Farm and still looks amazing! We walked around the adorable little town and did some small town shopping, he bought me lavender sea glass earrings that are gorgeous. We had dessert at Brown Dog Ice Cream which ad amazing homemade ice cream in traditional and funky flavors! Mine was called poncho verde which is avocado ice cream with strawberries, lime and jalapeños, and it was surprisingly AWESOME! This adorable ice cream parlor was even featured on Martha Stewart! Anyways, we will definitely go back, Cape Charles, you were so good to us!! <3 here are a few cell phone pics!
