I know its been like 60 something degrees lately, but remember when we had the big snow storm a couple weeks ago?! I was finally able to photograph and bride + groom in it!! I have been wanting to shoot a wedding / couple in the snow for years, so I put the word out on Facebook and got a great response! My lovely models are Christ & Teresa, they got married last year and had a negative experience with the photographer they hired [i hate that!!] so i thought it was perfect when they volunteered, That way we both get what we want / need! They get awesome wedding photos, and I get my snowy wedding shoot :p
This was literally put together in 2 days. I made the crown with things i foraged from my yard lol! The flowers were the scrapings from Giant’s florist dept [not bad right?!] and the scarves and accessories were ALL purchased on clearance at target! They were almost all 70% off. Thanks target, for putting out summer stuff super early! I got a great deal on everything! This session cost me about 45$ total. Just enough to get what I have been looking for without being a full blown styled shoot. We started by shooting in my front yard, thank goodness i live on an acre wooded lot! Then we went to this new construction area down the road from me, i just loved the snowy hills! And we ended right after the sun set at the water behind my house, so we were racing the light for sure, but i love how moody the water ones feel!! I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone / typical posing, and do some more editorial style shooting mixed in there, Chris + Teresa did great and were such troopers! Anyways, here are a few of my favorites from our time in the snow 🙂 Enjoy!!
aren’t they so stinking cute!!
GAH – Teresa seriously has “the look” down!! gorgeous!
Love all this pop of color against the snow! So beautiful!
What a stunning shoot!
Well done, looking good!
